I received a post masters in gerontology 25 years ago and aging remains my passion.Resurrecting an old blog, Upside of Aging, in a week or two. This will focus on aging and the aging brain/mind.
awe, $30 bucks at warmalt? I paid $38 at sams. I’m still happy about it. I got 2- and split one in half. 1 1/2 for my garden (126″ by 63″ by 8″) and 1/2 (42″ by 24″) to use as a sand box for my kids. I did spend more than I had planned on for building one myself, but I am beyond un handy… my husband works a ton… my dad doesn’t have time to come do it for me… and it’s from recycled materials- so win-win!

Pathetic that men are blamed for women turning themselves into men. Have you no shame at all. I am at University and I can tell you none of my mates would have anything to do with a female in any shape form whatever, it is too below us.

Hi Peter thanks for your comments :-) Interestingly the Today Tonight story was filmed 2 years ago. Since that time I have done more research (baring in mind that I am a world leader in this area simply because no one else has done the research).
What I have found is that women struggle to find balance. And yes, stress is a very individual thing. I have always maintained that stress is reliant on our experiences through life, emotions, nutritional status, suppport etc... Hormones are just a barometer of out internal response to situations, feelings and stress response. In women, I am starting to view testosterone more as a stress hormone rather than a sex hormone. It helps us (women) understand ourselves alot better that way). Anywa, thanks for taking time to comment, I appreciate it and I learn so much from other people. Thanks Sam

good morning , i do not usually take up time from busy people like yourself , however i am a 51year old male and you were quoted to have said that it is EXECUTIVE stress that is cousing the high testosterone levels in woman , i have a number of stress related health problems , i hope you were misquoted about the EXECUTIVE part of your statement ! over the last 30 years i have read a number of study's that concluded time after time that management has a significantly lower likelyhood of WORK related risk of heart and ulcer issues compared to someone working for example on an assembly line . Every study concluded that assembly line workers are much more at risk , the reason given is that the people at the bottom have higher stress levels is lack of control and predictability in there work , just think how embaresing it is to have to go to the toilet as one example , the study's were done in some cases by prestigous unis ,lastly i would like to add that i have been on both sides of the " fence " i'v done procces work and it was no picnic for the lady's doing menial work , needing to go and to add to the insult they were often refused ,had to wait till luch for example ,that was only one of the numerous stressfull things these hardworking people had to put up with , and have run a small company (in the company ) i sometimes had to do quite a bit of heavy manual labour as well as supervising a staff of 6 , do the ordering for products we needed , and i can asure you that , that was much less stressfull ! finally it has been pointed out to me that it (stress ) is a very induvidual thing . thank you for your time , kindest regards , peter
